Further to our announcement last year regarding the impending closure of the heritage centre, the Trustees had very little positive response to the open invitation asking people to volunteer in assisting with the operation of the centre or to ultimately take on the responsibility of becoming a Trustee. Consequently the Centre will close at the end of June with a final, ticket only, concert provisionally booked for July 4th.

Regarding the contents of the Centre, the Trust will retain certain artefacts for continued use, and others, which are privately owned, will be available for collection by their owners.

“Expressions of interest” are invited for all otherwise available artefacts in the centre. These include the Wurlitzer and Compton theatre organs. Any such expressions of interest must be received by the Trust by March 31st this year.
Such expressions must be registered by e mail to “hcclosure@ltot.org.uk”.  Any persons who have previously applied and have received acknowledgement need not re-apply.
