The Stockport Wurlitzer
Due to extensive water ingress into the Main Pipe Chamber of the Wurlitzer Organ in Stockport Town Hall in recent months, Concerts and Events in the ballroom have been cancelled until further notice' Update With the co-operation and support of Stockport MBC, extensive work is scheduled in the near future to rectify the roof problems. Work has already commenced in sourcing an experienced organ builder to undertake the refurbishment of the damaged Wurlitzer components. In the meantime and to resume presentations at Stockport, the Wurlitzer is being enabled to use a Hauptwerk Wurlitzer sample set to emulate the damaged ranks (sets) of pipework in the Main chamber, until refurbishment is complete.
